So ... to award those of you awesome enough to care what I'm up to from time to time, I'm holding a contest!

Specs:

What's this contest all about? Simple ... Norman. If you watch me, then you know him. He's this cute little cuddle right here > [link]
So all you have to do is make a piece of art with Norman as the main subject. You can have as much or as little else in it, it can be coloured, shaded, macaronied, doesn't matter ... just as long as it revolves around Norman.

Prizes:

1st Place Prize: An original 8.5" x 11" oil painting on vellum, signed and dated by yours truly, mailed to your very doorstep!
2nd Place Prize: An original 5" x 7" fully-rendered pencil drawing, signed and dated by yours truly, mailed to your very doorstep!
3rd Place Prize: A personalized digital piece dedicated to you posted here on DA.

Special Prize: Whoever sends the most people over to participate gets an original 5" x 7" fully-rendered pencil drawing, signed and dated by yours truly, mailed to their doorstep as well!

Rules:

All art submitted must be a serious attempt at winning. I will look through every participant's gallery to make sure you're not just submitting doodles for the sake of submitting, but that you actually care.

If there aren't at least 10 participants by the deadline, the contest (and prizes) don't happen. So tell your friends!

The special prize winner may also be a participant. (i.e. You could potentially win 1st place and the special prize)

Also, when you get your friends to submit pieces, they have to drop your name or alias (or both) to count. So make sure to clue them in on this! They can post a link to your gallery or portfolio in either a note to me or (preferably) in the description of the piece they're submitting.

You can submit as many entries as you'd like. Sky's the limit!

You do not have to be a member of deviantArt to participate.

Deadline

The deadline for this bad boy is October 1st, 2009 ... so you have a while. That's the day that our lease is up on the apartment and I think this contest is a great way to celebrate!

The Judges
~BloodyBizarre and myself will be judging this one.

And an important note ... keep your judges in mind. We're both vegan, so if you draw Norman chowing down on a hamburger or something, we're a lot less-likely to choose that piece. Just something to think about.
